French trade mark GAVROCHE has existed for over two centuries, but was only officially registered in 1977. All this time, the company run by the same family - the descendants of the blacksmith and gunsmith Robert Bernard. It was he who in 1739 was behind the blacksmith in the French town grossouvre. While Bernard had his own smithy, which is manufactured as a melee weapon, and various household products, such as door knockers, handles, chandeliers and lamps. One day his wife gave him first-born, whom they named Gavroche. Then Bernard in honor of his child has made an elegant pen, which was soon hung on the door of the cathedral of Rouen. His articles are still stored at the Museum of blacksmithing.
